Lessons may be provided by self-employed instructors working with Aram Driving School. Before you book or pay, we will explain who your contract is with, who receives your payment and who is responsible for providing lessons and handling refunds.
Aram Driving Ltd and its instructors remain responsible for their respective legal obligations. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
You must hold a valid driving licence or entitlement appropriate for your tuition. Bring your physical provisional driving licence to lessons and tell your instructor about any ban, suspension or restriction affecting your entitlement to drive.
You must attend lessons fit to drive safely and must not drive while impaired by alcohol, drugs, medication or excessive tiredness.
Your instructor may refuse to start or stop a lesson if they reasonably consider it unsafe or unlawful to continue. Any charge for undelivered tuition will be assessed fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
Lesson prices, duration, payment deadlines and additional charges, including test-day vehicle hire, will be explained before booking.
Payment must be made by the agreed deadline. Keep your payment records and receipts.
Price changes will not retrospectively affect lessons already paid for at an agreed price. Any new prices will be communicated before they apply to future bookings.
Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
With less than 48 hours' notice, or if you fail to attend a lesson without reasonable notice, a cancellation charge of up to the agreed lesson price may apply where lawful and fair, taking account of the circumstances and any reasonable losses incurred.
Contact your instructor directly to cancel or reschedule. If you cannot reach them, contact Aram Driving School promptly.
Any cancellation charge will remain subject to applicable statutory cancellation rights and consumer protection law.
Lessons finish at the agreed time.
If you arrive late, your lesson will normally finish at its original end time, and the missed time will not automatically be added to the end of the lesson.
If your instructor arrives late, the missed time will be made up by agreement or appropriately refunded or credited.
Lessons may be cancelled because of illness, vehicle breakdown, unsafe weather or other circumstances affecting safe tuition.
You will not be charged for tuition that is not provided. Any payment for undelivered tuition will be refunded or credited towards another lesson with your agreement.
An alternative instructor or vehicle may be offered with your agreement. You may accept or decline without being charged for the cancelled lesson.
Block bookings should normally be completed within six months of the first lesson.
Reasonable extensions will be considered for illness, exceptional circumstances or instructor unavailability. Unused credit will not automatically be forfeited solely because six months have passed.
If you stop taking lessons, any refund due will be calculated fairly, taking account of lessons delivered at the agreed booking rate and any lawful cancellation charges.
An itemised breakdown of deductions will be provided where applicable. Refunds will be handled in accordance with these terms and applicable law. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Keep your progress log and payment receipts safely.
Losing your progress log does not automatically mean losing unused lesson credit. Relevant lesson and payment records will be checked to establish any remaining balance.
Your instructor may maintain lesson records to monitor progress and identify areas requiring further practice.
Confirm your instructor's availability before booking or changing a practical driving test if you intend to use their vehicle.
Test-day charges and payment deadlines will be agreed in advance. Where applicable, test-day vehicle hire must be paid at least 24 hours before the agreed test appointment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Vehicle use depends on availability, insurance requirements and your instructor's reasonable assessment of your ability to drive safely.
Your instructor may refuse vehicle use if they reasonably consider you insufficiently prepared or unsafe to use the vehicle for the test.
Readiness concerns will be discussed as early as reasonably possible. New safety concerns may require withdrawal at shorter notice.
Any refund due for services not provided will be handled fairly under these terms and applicable law.
Aram Driving School and its instructors do not guarantee that a pupil will pass their practical driving test, pass on their first attempt, or achieve test standard within a particular number of lessons.
Test readiness depends on the pupil's driving ability, preparation, and performance on the day.
We provide professional tuition and guidance to help pupils prepare for their test, but the final result is determined by the driving examiner.
The number of lessons required to reach test standard varies from pupil to pupil. An instructor's assessment of readiness is professional guidance and does not guarantee a particular test result.
During driving lessons and test-day vehicle hire, pupils may be required to reimburse fines or penalty charges arising from their driving, including yellow box junction and bus lane penalties, where lawful and applicable.
Each case will be assessed individually, and evidence of the charge will be provided.
Pupils will only be held responsible for charges where there is a lawful basis for doing so.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in tuition vehicles.
Threatening, abusive, harassing or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated. Lessons may be stopped or future tuition declined where serious misconduct or a safety risk arises.
Unused payments will be handled fairly under these terms and applicable law.
We are committed to fair treatment and will consider reasonable adjustment requests in accordance with applicable law.

Where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract.
Applicable cancellation information and instructions will be provided before you become bound by the contract.
If you request that services begin during the 14-day cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services provided up to the point of cancellation, where permitted by law.
Where applicable, any requirements for your express request to begin services during the cancellation period and acknowledgement of the consequences of requesting full performance will be respected.
Your statutory cancellation rights will not be restricted by the 48-hour cancellation policy where the law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory rights or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to existing bookings will not be applied retrospectively without your agreement, except where permitted or required by law.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
